Desirée C. Toliver

Challenger Desirée C. Toliver is running as a Democratic for U.S. House Representative CD 10 in Olympia, Washington. The election was held on August 6, 2024.

Desirée is the Sole parent of a creative, fierce, nurturing young child. With in the past 5 years Desirée has been graduated from South Puget Sound Community College earning 2 associates at the same time and as a part of the 2021 All Washington Academic team with Phi Theta Kappa, been unhoused, ran for Mayor of Olympia in 2023, served as a board member for the tenants union of Washington state and is currently serving as an Executive board member, and one of the state delegates for Thurston County Democrats.

While Desirée hasn’t lived perfectly, she recognizes the barriers that are put up that prevent people from the opportunity to pursue happiness. While it might sound simple housing, healthcare and education for all are the champions not only of the Toliver campaign but of genuine opportunity across America. With a focus on taking care of the community and encouraging collaboration from smaller communities to allow themselves to have strong local economies where the community can have genuine control over supporting their schools, their housing and rental cost, and their job growth we can collaborate to broaden our definition of community. When we protect each other we protect ourselves.

In office I will not only remove an incumbent who has mislead the public on their intent again and again, not only through party representation, lack of comment, but through positioning their identity to appear to have stances they don’t. Toliver will be the candidate in office who is fighting for the people, because Toliver is supported and successful through the support of her community.
