Erica Koxlien
Incumbent Erica Koxlien is running for Trempealeau County Sheriff in Whitehall, Wisconsin. The election was held on August 11, 2026.
Erica Koxlien currently serves as the Sheriff of Trempealeau County and has been with the Sheriff's office for the last decade. First, serving as patrol deputy, then as investigator, and most recently as detective before being appointed Sheriff on December 12, 2025. Koxlien also shares her law enforcement experience with future law enforcement officers as a part-time instructor at the Western Wisconsin Technical College Law Enforcement Academy.
Throughout her career, Koxlien has been building relationships and trust with the people of Trempealeau County. This includes serving as the law enforcement representative on the Recovery Court Team, an alternative to incarceration for people with substance use disorder. The Recovery Court Program works to protect the community by reducing repeat drug and alcohol crimes through a comprehensive team approach by assisting offenders in overcoming addiction. Seeing a need in youth education, Koxlien, along with a colleague, created the Building Alliances, Delivering Guidance, Educating Students (BADGES) program. The program covers topics that range from addiction to online safety. This program is currently in eight schools throughout Trempealeau County. In her campaign kick-off, Koxlien stated, "This campaign is about more than an election, it's about our community and shared values. I've had the privilege of serving Trempealeau County and have seen firsthand what makes this community special."
