Tene Tate

Challenger Tene Tate is running for LACERA Boards of Retirement and Investment Trustee in Los Angeles, California. The election was held on August 3, 2026.

I am seeking election to both LACERA Board of Retirement and the Board of Investments to help ensure the long-term strength and sustainability of our
retirement system. For 19 years, I have served Los Angeles County in positions involving fiscal oversight, budgeting, governance, compliance,
and strategic planning. I hold a Master's degree in Public Administration and Management, and my experience as a
Principal Analyst in the Chief Executive Office has prepared me to serve as an effective steward of member interests. I
want to serve the dedicated employees who depend on LACERA to safeguard the retirement benefits they have earned
through their service to our communities. Our pension system is one of the most important commitments made to County employees. Protecting that commitment
requires careful oversight, prudent decision-making, and a focus on long-term financial stability. As a Trustee, I will advocate for investment decisions that protect the retirement security of current and future generations
of County employees. I will advocate to ensure that LACERA's investment program continues to protect and grow
retirement assets while maintaining transparency and accountability to its members. County employees should have a clear
understanding of how their retirement funds are being managed and confidence that decisions are being made in their best
interests. If elected, I will bring a disciplined approach to governance, a commitment to fiduciary responsibility, and a focus on
protecting the long-term interests of LACERA members through prudent oversight, transparency, and sound decision making.
