Incumbent Jaime Oss for Judge is running for Judge, LaPorte Superior Court #1 in Michigan City, Indiana. Election day is November 3, 2026.

Judge Jaime Oss is seeking re-election as Judge of LaPorte Superior Court No. 1, committed to fairness, integrity, and the impartial application of the law.

Since taking office, Judge Oss has worked closely with court staff to reduce the number of pending cases, improving efficiency and service for litigants, attorneys, and the public. Over the past five years, she has also worked in coordination with the other LaPorte County judges to refine countywide caseload allocation, helping to achieve a more balanced distribution of cases and improve access to justice throughout LaPorte County.

Judge Oss’s professionalism and service have been widely recognized. She received the 2019 Civility Award from the Litigation Section of the Indiana State Bar Association and was honored as the 2014 Influential Woman in Law by Influential Women of Northwest Indiana. She has also been named to the Michiana Forty Under 40 and recognized as Outstanding Young La Portean.

Beyond the courtroom, Judge Oss serves on the Indiana Judicial Conference Board of Directors and on several Indiana State Bar Association committees, including Clients’ Financial Assistance Fund, Improvements in the Judicial System, Legal Ethics, Unauthorized Practice of Law, and Women in Law. She is also active in the community, serving on the Holiday at the Pops planning committee and performing with the Singing Company of LaPorte County.

Judge Oss is a mother of three and has been married to her husband for 24 years. She is proud to serve LaPorte County and respectfully asks for your support to continue building a fair, efficient, and accessible court system.
