Gregg Felber
Incumbent Gregg Felber is running for Sherburne County Commissioner District 3 in Big Lake, Minnesota. Election day is November 3, 2026.
Serving our community during my first term has been an honor and a responsibility I take seriously. I’ve learned a great deal about how county government works and how important steady, thoughtful leadership is at this level. I was honored to serve as Vice-Chair and Chair of the County Board, which gave me the opportunity to work closely with county staff, community partners, and legislators.
I’ve worked hard to follow through on the commitments I made in 2022. Together, we updated the County’s Comprehensive Plan and put a regular review process in place so it continues to reflect the voices of Sherburne County residents. We passed a Second Amendment Resolution and made important changes to the zoning ordinance—work that is still ongoing.
I currently serve on 18 committees and joint powers boards, most of them local or regional, with additional work at the state and national level. These roles allow me to advocate for Sherburne County on issues like public safety, parks, libraries, solid waste, and energy policy. There are a number of important projects in energy, economic development, solid waste management and public safety that I am currently working on.
Energy reliability has been a major focus of my work. As Chair of the Minnesota Energy Transition Advisory Committee, I’m committed to policies that support long-term energy security for our county and our state.
I care deeply about Sherburne County and the people who call it home. I’m proud of the progress we’ve made.
