Michael Jackson
Challenger Michael Jackson is running for United States House of Representatives in Woodlawn, Virginia. Election day is November 3, 2026.
Michael Jackson is an Independent candidate for U.S. House of Representatives in Virginia’s 9th Congressional District. Born and raised in Southwest Virginia, Michael understands firsthand what it means to live below middle class, stretch a paycheck, and face the everyday pressures that working families in the Ninth know all too well.
Michael is a doctoral student at Liberty University studying Behavioral Health Leadership, and he currently works in the mental health field. Within this time, he has also worked in the substance abuse field, where he has seen the real struggles people face with addiction and poverty across many different walks of life. That experience shaped his belief that strong communities are built through both compassion and accountability by creating pathways for people to rebuild their lives while still expecting dedication, responsibility, and follow-through.
Michael’s platform is focused on practical results for the Fighting Ninth, including infrastructure improvements that reduce real costs for working families, support for farmers and rural producers, cost-of-living priorities, justice reform that strengthens second-chance opportunities for non-violent offenders, and solutions to homelessness and poverty that restore dignity through structure and hard work. His mission is simple: represent the people of VA-09, not a party and bring disciplined, independent leadership to Washington that puts Southwest Virginia first.
