Challenger Nick Andersen is running as a Republican for State Central Committee in Fairfax, Virginia. The election was held on April 20, 2024.

Nick Andersen served in the Trump administration where he performed the duties of Assistant Secretary for Cybersecurity, Energy Security, and Emergency Response at the Department of Energy. Prior to this role, he contributed his expertise to the Trump White House and also served within the administration of a New England Republican governor.

Across these various roles, he played a crucial part in developing and implementing policies, strategies, and initiatives to protect our communities and the American way of life. From coordinating responses to large-scale emergencies across our country, to ensuring the resilience of the American energy renaissance under President Trump, to working alongside each of you here in our home of Fairfax - Nick has been there putting in the long hours to serve others.

Nick's dedication to Republican leadership extends beyond his pubic service. He serves as the Vice Chairman for Operations in the Fairfax County Republican Committee, where he played a key role in organizing grassroots efforts and coordinating party operations. His involvement in the 2020 Presidential Campaign as an election day operations and election integrity coordinator led to deployments to other states and communities, and highlights his commitment to ensuring fair and transparent electoral processes. He has used these experiences to advise numerous campaigns in crafting policy that is rooted first in our conservation principles. Starting as a door-knocking volunteer and precinct captain, this journey reflects his hands-on approach to political engagement and his willingness to work tirelessly to advance Republican values.

Nick began his service to our country as a United States Marine, serving overseas in various assignments including multiple combat deployments. He and his wife reside within the 11th District, alongside their teenage daughter.
