Richard Freudenberg

Richard Freudenberg is a lifelong Washingtonian and Democrat who has dedicated most of his adult life to public service. Born in Spokane, he graduated summa cum laude with a 4.0 GPA from Washington State University before earning his law degree from University of Washington School of Law. Following the September 11th attacks, he joined the United States Air Force Judge Advocate General's Corps in 2004, serving both stateside and overseas, including a 2007 deployment to Baghdad, Iraq. He later served with the Washington Air National Guard at the 141st Air Refueling Wing until retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel in 2026. As a Democratic candidate for Congress, Freudenberg is focused on lowering costs for working families, protecting access to healthcare and public lands, and advocating for policies that strengthen families, neighbors, and communities across Eastern Washington.
