Laura Holmes
Laura Holmes is running for School Board in Petaluma, California, an open seat. Election day is November 3, 2026.
I'm running because I believe education is one of the most important things we collectively do as a community. As a mom of two children currently attending Petaluma City Schools, I have seven years of first-hand insight into the day-to-day experiences facing our kids. This perspective brings a necessary and unique lens often underrepresented on the board.
In addition to being a parent, I have 20 years of experience as a leader in Human Resources and Technology - implementing large-scale programs, managing multi-million dollar client projects, and developing high performing teams. My experiences have given me a breadth of transferable knowledge suited for the needs of a School Board. Our district is going through a transition and as a leader who has navigated change at every phase of my career, I believe I am the right person to meet this moment.
