Dr. Anissa Monique Jones, DC. is the incumbent that is running for her second term as the District 143 Representative for the Georgia House of Representatives. Dr. Jones is a Macon native and current State Representative for HD143 representing the citizens of Macon-Bibb and Houston counties. Dr. Jones won the General Election for the District 143 seat in 2024. Professionally, Dr. Jones is the first African-American Chiropractor in Macon, Georgia, who has been practicing locally for more than 27 years. She received her B.S. in Biology from Fort Valley State University in 1994 and then continued on her path to a Doctor of Chiropractic from Life University in 1998. In addition, she also graduated with an MBA in International Business from Wesleyan College in 2005.
