First time candidate for local office. I am a part of the LGBTQ+ community. A retired Marine Corps Major and an advocate fighting for true transparency for our community. I have actively tried to work with the city in efforts in making our community better. Attempting to fix the basic and simple things that make a community strong. Ordinance and Codes are written, updated and approved for reasons. They address community concerns; they make residents accountable for their properties; and they are the basic of requirements for living in the simplest civilized society. Our city has elected not to enforce their own rules and regulations. Instead, they grow outward without the infrastructure to support the growth; without the staff to enforce the codes and with little regards to what makes a strong, cohesive city.
