Hi, I'm Debbie. I’m a lifelong Glendale resident who attended Glendale public schools—John Muir Elementary, Wilson Middle School, and proudly graduated from Glendale High School. I’m also a parent leader, a businesswoman, and a passionate advocate for strong public schools.
My family owns the beloved Original Tommy’s Burgers, a local institution that has served generations. Growing up in a family business rooted in integrity, accountability, and community service shaped my belief that strong leadership begins with responsibility, transparency, and a deep commitment to the community.
As a Glendale Unified parent, I have spent years actively serving our local schools. I was honored to serve as PTA President at Glendale High School for two years and at Wilson Middle School for one year. I also served on the executive board of the Glenoaks Elementary School Foundation for seven years, helping strengthen school-community partnerships and expand opportunities for students.
In recognition of my dedication to children and families, I received the PTSA Golden Oak Service Award—the organization’s most prestigious honorary award.
Today, I serve as Vice President of the Glendale Education Foundation and as a Board Member of the Rotary Club of Mental Health & Wellness.
My priorities are clear: student safety, academic excellence, ensuring parents have a meaningful voice in their children’s education, investing in teachers so they feel supported in the classroom, and maintaining responsible, transparent fiscal stewardship.
