Jennifer Blanco is running for San Bruno City Council, District 1 in San Bruno, California, an open seat. Election day is November 3, 2026.
Growing up in San Bruno shaped my life and inspired my commitment to serve the community I know and love. It’s where neighbors support one another, teachers go the extra mile for their students, and families build lasting connections across generations.
My commitment to service began by volunteering in my children’s schools. From there, I revived and served on the San Bruno PTA Council, co-founded the San Bruno Education Foundation, and served 17 years on the San Bruno Park Elementary School District Board of Trustees. Most recently, I was appointed to the San Mateo County Juvenile Justice & Delinquency Prevention Commission (JJDPC).
Throughout my years of service, I am proud of bringing people together through collaborative initiatives, such as Children’s Day, Book Day, and this year’s JJDPC Prevention in Action Conference. These efforts reflect my commitment to creating opportunities, strengthening connections, and ensuring better outcomes for our families. Each opportunity to serve strengthened my belief that effective leadership begins with listening, asking thoughtful questions, and engaging in courageous conversations. As your Councilmember, my priorities will include responsible housing development, supporting our small businesses, and strengthening our community’s culture and connections.
I bring experience in governance, policy, and community service. I will represent you with integrity, accountability, and transparency, while ensuring every resident feels heard and represented. I respectfully ask for your vote.
